Dr. Robert Stevenson is a Professor of Journalism and Director of Student Publications for the Department of Mass Communications and Theater at Lander University in Greenwood, SC. He received the Distinguished Faculty of the Year award for 2007-'08, and the Lander University Young Faculty Scholar Award in 2005-06. Stevenson also serves as chair of the Lander University American Democracy Project. First and Formost I am a dad of two wonderful boys.

    The last one is correct. One is the subject, not kids. One is singular, so ‘one drops’ is correct. It doesn’t matter if what’s in between is singular or plural.

    The funny thing about the last picture is the misspelling; it should be “one in four.” The verbs should still be drops. Drops refers to the one in four, which is a singular noun. Maybe someone else should stay in school.

  5. hi! Haven’t been here for a while! I wonder what the hoolahoop is for for the yard work job hmmmmm maybe they need a hoolahoop dancer for a barbecue party at the yard? 😀 hahahaha!
